Case Study: Mobile Learning & Blended Learning
Education and training in the digital age
How can education and training processes be modernized? The BIP, the Education & Innovation Portal Chemnitz, was confronted with exactly this question due to the pandemic-related school closure in 2020. A long-term, sustainable solution was sought, which was to become a fixed component of the future training concept. The pure face-to-face teaching changed to a digital educational offer, which was continued as a blended learning offer even after the legal school closure period. BIP created greater flexibility for learners by allowing them to decide for themselves when and where they want to learn. In addition, instructional materials can be accessed at any time. By combining face-to-face and online learning, learners can now benefit from interactive teaching methods. Read the case study to find out what the challenges were, how they were solved, and how the implementation took place.

The BIP online campus has totally overhauled our daily training routine. The platform, which uses the Knowledgeworker Share learning management system from chemmedia AG, has enabled us to create a learning platform that is easy to use and attractive. The system is robust and data-protection compliant. This means we can make the learning experience more mobile. We are particularly pleased with how closely the chemmedia AG team worked with us and their down-to-earth approach to identifying solutions for our requirements.
